the CAPRIQUARIUS ...

...is hardworking, dedicated, loyal, honest, witty, dry humor, friendly, humanitarian, original, unique, inventive, independent, intellectual, contrary, unpredictable, detached, exuberant, lively, exhibitionist, expressive, logical, spiritual, imaginative, intuitive and romantic.

The Capriquarius is the most misunderstood of persons based on two factors:

o moon: in this case, the moon causes the individual to be instinctual in the way they deal with the world as a whole.
o ruling planets: two planets rule this individual; Saturn and Uranus make them kind and pleasurable to be around for the few they let truly know them. However, from the outside they can seem to be haughty, shallow and quite eccentric.

The Capriquarius is most interested in peace and love and the free spirit of life. Individualism is essential to them as they will seek out ways to be an individual even if it means solitude.

They seek truth above all else. They expect it in all they surround themselves with in order to make decisions and life choices as they are constantly planning and thinking ahead. To be disloyal to a Capriquarian is like opening a dam of emotions and pain that will never fully reseal and will forever leak. They have no time or place for liars and embellishers.

The Capriquarius emote a strong intellect. They tend to think profoundly and deeply. However, this constant state of thought generally disables them from multitasking and handicaps their ability to retain much to memory from outside influences. On the positive side, this constant state of thought and intellect allows the Capriquarius the ability to think out situations and see both sides of an argument. This gift, along with a centered ego, allows them the virtue of admitting mistakes and when they are wrong. This intellect brings also with it an almost hypnotic and irresistible mental attraction and will themselves become tenacious friends and lovers.

The intellect of the Capriquarius makes them excellent scholars of life but not in a confined atmosphere such as a traditional classroom or university. No, they are more inclined to settings that have no set rules for achieving goals and end results. Being the poster-child for free spirit, the Capriquarian is excellent at motivating themselves at their own pace depending on the task at hand.

This free-spirit sets the Capriquarius apart in almost every aspect of life:

@ work:  Hardworking, self-motivated, dedicated to the tasks and the work (not necessarily the company or job). In leadership roles they tend to prefer employees/underlings who are as self disciplined as they are; they are overly fair but can seem quite demanding to the underachiever. Otherwise, they have a tendency to float from task-to-task to keep from getting bored until all the work is complete. To the untrained eye, this floating can seem a bit unprofessional and, as stated earlier, is why Capriquarians do best in settings that have no set rules for achieving the end result.

@ play: This has to be the most obvious of public ways to observe the Capriquarian’s free spirit at work (it is second in free spirit only to one other, sex). Simply release them into the world to explore and play and you’ll see the innocence of their nature and the range of their interests. One moment you may find them hiking nature trails in some remote secluded mountain range, skinny dipping in a warm spring and tenting under some strange starry sky. Then the next moment, they are at a blackjack table of a crowded casino in Las Vegas betting it all on a double-down while sipping a gin-and-tonic singing along with a karaoke singer as they slaughter a popular Beatles song. Of course, this is only true for the Capriquarius who can financially afford to do these things; the ones who can not, simply dream of the days when they can.

@ home: Seclusion, privacy and harmony is all the Capriquarius asks; the style, the size, the color, the price mean very little to them. No matter the location they visualize their home (mountains, the countryside, the beach) one thing holds true - the Capriquarius prefers their home to come with plenty of space to be recluse and private when they so choose to be (which is more often than not) so as to appease the free spirit within. They tend to prefer their home to be tidy and kept but not to some manic degree. They enjoy cooking and entertaining for their friends when the mood hits them, and as they are primarily homebodies, this becomes a frequent location for most evenings of relaxation and entertainment.

@ religion: The constant thoughts and questioning mind of the Capriquarius creates one of two types of spiritual Capriquarians. First, there is the one that remains dedicated and loyal to one belief, absorbing, studying and learning all they can of that system and dogma. Where the free spirit here may exude a tendency to question the faith where others wouldn’t dare, in order to better understand and comprehend. Then there is the second, more profound, open-minded, ever theological type who remains ever the theology scholar studying, absorbing, learning and processing the ideals, doctrines, facts, proverbs, prophets and philosophies of every spiritual guide, faith, belief and way drawing ever closer to a conclusion that may never come in their lifetime (which suites the Capriquarius just fine).

@ sex: This would be the most obvious place to view the free spirit of the Capriquarius. For no other place will they open up more to exhibit their wonderful desire for the uninhibited enjoyment of life than during sex. The Capriquarius is a passionate, uninhibited and understanding lover. Their sex drive is maddening, strong and tense. They are very playful, passionate, attentive lovers and will put a great deal of energy into satisfying their partners. They are open to all forms of experimentation and creative openness. They have an insatiable and remarkable desire for beauty and a sexual need to satisfy those they find sexually attractive. Because of the Capriquarius’ ability to find beauty in anything and anyone, their general lack of interest in material things and their passion for experimentation and free spirit, most Capriquarians are attracted to both sexes equally. Thus, the perfect relationship for the Capriquarius would be one in which they provided for both a husband and a wife who all three lived harmoniously together.

Capriquarians are the world’s idealists and cosmic consciousness. They see their calling as making the world a better place for everyone. They are the ones we turn to when we seek parental solace - even when we know we did wrong, we just want to hear them say it and then the advice afterwards. They are the huggers, the compassion, the embodiment of unconditional love here on Earth. They are the laughter in the silence and the silence in the chaos.

If deceived or lied to, their anger is terrible. They are eccentric, detached at times while at other times holding on to extremely dramatic opinions. They will express a lack of integrity in one’s broken promises, secretiveness and deceitful ways, causing them to show their rage fueled, simmering anger and resentment or worse, the dreadful tense and threatening silence that only a Capriquarian can pull off which may suddenly burst into volcanic eruptions of extreme temper with tense shouting and visual aids sporadically drawn out in the air with wildly flailing arms.

When a Capriquarius responds in a negative outburst the reason is generally quite simple. The same passion and energy that shines through for positive things is the same passion and energy that is shone during an outburst. The things that generally set a Capriquarius off are usually things that make little sense to them thus disrupting their work for helping to create a better world. In other words, ignorant or irrational behavior or behavior perceived as such by the Capriquarius, is almost assured to get a loud, frustrated outburst from a very annoyed and confused Capriquarius.

Capriquarians are extremely moody. Anything they perceive as a negative to their world can be the very thing that ruins even a multi-million dollar winning lottery ticket moment. Pessimism, melancholy and even unhappiness and sever depression can all be a normal day for the Capriquarius. No matter the emotion, they are out to make it as grandiose as it can be. Not for attention, the Capriquarius doesn’t require attention (when it comes to their emotions) nor do they care if anyone else is aware. No, because this, like anything else done by the Capriquarius, will be done just as big and bold as anything else they do in life simply because it’s all they know and how they are. As strong and passionate as they are in love and happiness, so to will they be in all other emotions and feelings. From the Capricorn side, the Capriquarius is characteristically “capricious”. That is to say they are quite whimsical and erratic. It is generally not a long period of time before they are able to pull themselves out of a bad funk and continue on giving hugs and love to the world.

Their amazing charisma is second only to their free spirit. Capriquarians have an almost magical ability to charm even the most difficult of individuals. Whether it’s with their smile or their sexuality or even their innocence, they have a charismatic way to get them out of almost any situation. However, the unbelievable truth is, although they are aware of it, the thought of using it in any highly abusive way goes against their moral justice and demeanor of seeing the good of world prevail. This isn’t to say that they don’t use their charm to sway others into their needs. On the contrary, that’s exactly what it’s generally used for! However, even then, it’s generally for something fun and delicious and never out of malice or spite.

The Capriquarius is indeed a selfish being. However, not in the egotistical way one usually associates selfishness with. Instead, the Capriquarius, holding true to their worldly morals of virtue, tend to be selfish in ways that they perceive as a betterment for society. While it can be said that the Capriquarius generally sees the world in a positive way, they are not naive to the truth that surrounds them. However, it is their goal to try and make the best of situations by quickly assessing their surroundings and reacting to the situation at hand as best they can at that moment. Often times they do this by acting a bit selfish to sway and otherwise influence people to do the things they feel will create the best outcome for the situation at hand (whether that be a neutral truce, or a fun-filled night of entertainment, or even just a splitting up of the group). In personal matters, the selfishness of the Capriquarius is sporadic and often times flighty. It comes and goes and is generally in regards to seemingly mundane and trivial matters that only the Capriquarius can see as an immediate importance.

Thinking quickly on their feet can be a blessing at times, but more often than not is a major headache. Simply put, Capriquarians wear their hearts on their sleeves. What they perceive as a good deed isn’t always shared by society as so. Some view it as meddling or interfering. The truth is, they really are just trying to help. Also, because they are quick to try and fix or remedy a situation, that doesn’t always mean their way is necessarily the best or even right way. A fact they are more than willing to admit, after the damage is done. In fact, most Capriquarians hate confrontation and are willing to do whatever it takes to avoid it all costs. Therefore immediate solutions are ascertained quickly to address the immediate problem. However, as the mind works for the Capriquarian, they will constantly rethink the scenario over-and-over (as they do everything in their lives) and by the next morning will have an array of better ways to handle the situation if/when it should ever arise again. Thus, it can be said, that Capriquarians do learn from their mistakes. They’re just infamous for making a lot of them.

The mind of the Capriquarius is indeed a complex and sorted piece of equipment. Briefly we have touched upon its complexity. However, to fully understand the individual one must dive into the recesses of this extraordinary enigma. It is true, that the Capriquarius is in a constant state of thinking. This organ works just as constantly as their heart, never ceasing even in sleep. In fact, ask any Capriquarius and they’ll tell you that they often dream of daily activities, past experiences or even events they wish to happen. In past experiences, even during the day, the Capriquarius is constantly thinking of events that may have taken place even in childhood. Haunted by ghosts of past mistakes, misjudgments and regrets, the Capriquarius, whose main goal is to set right the wrongs of the world, never fully lets go of these errors and therefore relives them over-and-over. Never is there a more perfect example of the proverb “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop”. And generally speaking, unlike their emotional ebbing, their thoughts tend to stay dark and dreary making them, internally, a source of woeful depression. And here is where we begin the journey of the almost bipolar characteristics of the Capriquarius.

To understand this fully, one must understand the differences between the Capricorn and the Aquarian. Capricorns are very organized, confidant, detailed, serious with high morals and romantic standards. The Aquarian is hard-to-get, aloof, lofty, free-spirited and extremely open minded. If these were two individuals, astrologically speaking they wouldn’t last more than a week together in any kind of intimate setting! Yet here they are in the most restricted of intimate relationships: a Capricorn mind with an Aquarian heart. The internal conflict that happens is controlled mostly by the fact that the Capriquarius is a kind and loving being - even to themselves. The struggle generally ends when something new catches their thoughts and its off to new conclusions and studies. From the outside it generally looks as though this individual is indeed bipolar or at the least one with dual personalities depending on the minute of the hour of the day. However, whether it is the Capricorn mind or the Aquarian heart doing the talking or expressing the feeling/emotion, the reason for the passion is the same.

Quite simply, the Capriquarius is high-energy, low self-esteem. That’s the crux of it. To the outsider they look as though they are hyperactive, spastic balls of immature energy. Which is pretty much the case. Internally. They struggle every day to find control, focus and self approval. However, when they channel all that energy and focus on a task, amazing things can happen. Generally speaking, however, the Capriquarius actually prefers to focus all that energy and devotion on their lovers and friends. A happy Capriquarius is one that is entertaining, servicing and loving those they allowed in to their very gifted and unique lives.
